Call.Create.Care

The Objective

Calling future Christian leaders means actively engaging in God’s work by praying for, recognizing, and equipping the next generation. This is not a passive hope but an intentional effort to identify those whom God is calling. As 2 Timothy 2:2 instructs, faithful leaders must invest in others so they can teach and lead as well. This requires proactive conversations, mentorship, and a commitment to walking alongside emerging leaders as they discern their calling.

The greatest challenge facing the church is not a lack of resources but a crisis of calling. God is already calling new leaders, but the church must partner with Him in prayer and action to identify and affirm them. By investing in their growth and fostering a culture of discipleship, the church ensures a strong future. Calling leaders is not just a duty—it is a sacred responsibility requiring faith, discernment, and commitment.

Christ in Youth

Below are some suggestions from CIY to help you respond to God's call on your life:

  • ASK FOR HELP: With your youth pastor, identify 2 adults in your church who will commit to praying for you every week this year. Get a mentor.
  • CREATE SERVICE PLAN: Find some areas to serve in. In fact, identify 3-4 that you want to try in the next 9 months. Put together a plan with your youth pastor on how you can do that.
  • LEARN FROM OTHERS: Whatever ministry you’re serving in, meet with the leader of that team and ask them why it’s important to them, and how you can do better at it!
  • Read and Journal through the Book of Acts. What does the Bible say about the church?
  • Work with you Youth Pastor to craft and teach a short message to the Children’s, MS or HS ministry
